Daley to host 31st District photo contest

LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Kevin Daley announced on Monday that his office will be hosting an online photo contest featuring photos from the 31st District.

“The Bay Area and Thumb region are full of Pure Michigan landscapes,” said Daley, R-Lum. “I look forward to the many photos highlighting what makes the 31st District one of the most beautiful places in the state.”

Until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, residents of Bay, Tuscola or Lapeer counties can submit their photos on the Pure Michigan Photo Contest page on Daley’s Senate website at www.SenatorKevinDaley.com.

After the submission period, finalist photos will be posted to the State Senator Kevin Daley page on Facebook. Visitors to the page will then be able to vote for the photos they like the most. Each finalist photo will receive one vote for each “like” it gets on Facebook and one vote for each vote it garners on a website poll.

“At the end of the contest, the three photos with the most votes will win and will be displayed in my Lansing office,” Daley said. “The goal of this photo contest is to help promote our state by giving residents a fun and creative opportunity to showcase what makes the 31st District such an incredible place to live.”

The contest is limited to residents of the 31st Senate District. Only one submission will be allowed per person and the photo must be taken in Bay, Tuscola or Lapeer counties. Please be sure to include the location the photo was taken, when it was taken, and who took it. You may only submit photos that you own the rights to.

For submission instructions and guidelines, please visit the photo contest page.
