LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Kevin Daley on Wednesday announced that he will be joining members of the Caro 4 Michigan Coalition for a rally on the Capitol steps later this month.
The rally comes after the recent announcement from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services regarding the hospital’s future and is to show support for completing the Caro Center project as previously guaranteed by the state.
“The Caro Center has operated in Tuscola County for generations and continues to provide critical care to patients in need,” said Daley, R-Lum. “It is critical that a new facility be built for the safety of patients, employees, and the community. I am going to continue to fight and I hope everyone will join me at the Capitol on August 27 to show just how strong the Caro community is.”
The rally is scheduled to take place at the following date, time and location:
When:
Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Where:
On the steps of the Michigan Capitol Building
100 N. Capitol Ave.
Lansing
“I will be joining coalition members as we continue to fight for the Caro Center,” Daley said. “Coalition members rallied strong and made our voices heard as the governor’s study was ongoing. We need to continue that strength in Lansing.”
